We are a family-owned business specializing in intimate charters and ceremonial scattering of ashes at sea. This is a beautiful way to memorialize or honor the wishes of your loved

Why Kapenas

Our owner has a deep understanding of grief and loss, having lost 57 colleagues and friends who either heroically died while serving our country or who succumbed to depression.

 

Kapenas will honor your loved one with the utmost dignity, while ensuring every detail is flawlessly executed. You can trust that your farewell will be truly memorable and meaningful.

 

We perform ceremonies daily, weather permitting. We are one of the few companies who can legally accommodate groups of seven or more. From dock-to-dock, our ceremonies usually last 90-120 minutes. All you need to do is show up and we will handle the rest.

Our Captains

Our captains have a least 10-years of experience, possess their
USCG 100-Ton Masters License, FCC license, and FCTC
certifications. They are trained in maritime laws and are familiar with South Florida’s Gulf waterways, specifically near the Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach areas.
